R32 Driver Door Handle Wont Open

If you need to get in just push in on the door a little and pull the handle at the same time.

Could also be the outside handle. This video shows why your vw door will not open and what to do about it. If not then take the inside handle off and just pull the actual cable. I tested the switches in the handle it self.

To be fair if its a cable problem then the handle from the inside outside will just flap around. Replace the door handle and problem solved or you can pull the door apart which you will have to do anyways and clean it. If nothing happens when you turn the knob it s usually because the set screw holding the knob to the rod has worked itself loose. I m thinking on the right track with the latch mechanism. Though that is just a temp fix it will return at the most inopportune time. So i think the other day that while i was unlocking my car doors i started pulling on the handle as i was unlocking the doors. No where will you find this information on the web. Should open right up then.

If the bolt moves but not enough to allow the door to open the. If i lock then car using key fob and open the door the alarm goes off. Believe me i looked for days wh. The drivers door won t lock using the key fob but if i use the blade it will lock fine.

Any info would be much appreciated cheers. It won t open no matter what i do less the key and inner handle. If i am inside the car it will open but nothing from the outside. I tried taking the plastic piece off of handle and using the plastic key from the fob but it didnt work.
